It's an invigorating challenge in making it all work, yet there is always this known risk that exists despite how many safety checks you do.
As you start your budgeting this year, I challenge you to crank up the thrill another notch and engage in a zero-based budgeting process. Zero-based budgeting starts with no history in mind. It's a budget that is built only on the expenses absolutely identified as critical for meeting outcomes. And, most uniquely, the entire team builds it, leading to greater understanding, buy-in and commitment to using resources to their greatest potential.
